ANC member and Mayor of King Cetshwayo District, Cllr Nonhle Mkhulisi was admitted in hospital on December 31st and sadly her condition did not gety any better. On February 3rd she succumbed to Covid-19 related complications.

There were cases, especially in the bigger cities, but in the rural areas, very few. South Africa desided to do a lock-down from March 23, 2020. On April 1, they started testing for covid-19 at test stations around the country.
