ANC member and Mayor of King Cetshwayo District, Cllr Nonhle Mkhulisi was admitted in hospital on December 31st and sadly her condition did not gety any better. On February 3rd she succumbed to Covid-19 related complications.

Covid information

The covid-19 situation in Zululand is far from good. After the covid-19 caused a big lock-down in March 2020, it took a while before it started to spread around in South Africa. There were cases, especially in the bigger cities, but in the rural areas, very few. South Africa desided to do a lock-down from March 23, 2020. On April 1, they started testing for covid-19 at test stations around the country.

Covid information

Covid-19 is spread all over the world. The numbers of infected are going up and down. South Africa did not have very high numbers at first and they country went through a quite strict lock-down, which seem to have had a great positive impact.

Linda has hired a couple of workers and also put a lot of volunteers to sew face masks as prevention of covid-19 virus, as part of the Zululand Home for the Aged activity.
